A player posted that Party Poker uses robots. Player said that the city says unavailable and that the player never answers chats. PP states that all players must state where they are from. Why do some say unavailable where there is supposed to be a city? Any truth to this?

When I signed up there was an option to hide your location from other players, this has since been stopped and you must show your location. Therefore, anyone with a hiden location signed up a while back (about 2 years I think)
As for not answering chat, why waste your time chatting to idiots (or even listening to them, you can turn all chat off) it only distracts you from your A game

That's not a good enough level of transparency.
When a company was formed from a framework of theft and deceipt, as Party Gaming was, then they will have to go out of their way to prove to me that they are not cheating. Just 3 quick points to consider:
1. Most poker software does include bots. It is almost to the point where you have to search to find legitimate software. There are decent providers who have a product dealing a fair game, but the vast majority have bots, and this is even their primary selling point that they pitch.
2. There is absolutely no level of regulation involved with PP. Sure, they have a gaming license. Big deal. Just means that they were willing to spend a few thousand dollars. I could get one too. It doesn't mean jack, and until there is a jurisdiction that truly regulates, and truly enforces said regulation, then you may as well consider them to all be unlicensed.
3. Again, this company got their start by stealing and ripping people off, running rigged software no less. That's to say nothing of their connections to Amador Pastrana, which can and will be proven should they ever decide to challenge my statements on the subject.
Now, with these three thoughts in mind, please tell my why I (or anyone else) should put blind faith into PP dealing an honest game?
I'll not put that kind of faith into known crooks, they need to prove to me that they are dealing fair, and so far, they haven't made the slightest step towards such proof. For all I know, that could be an intentional decision that was made specifically because they do cheat.
Oh, wait, I forgot that people will come in and tout their alleged $65B float. Yeah, right, what a joke. They just keep touting this as a way of getting their name in the press, nothing more. If they did a float that large, then to even qualify they would need to be putting up $15B in liquid cash themselves, and a bunch of shady guys from India are not going to do this.
Sorry to sound so synical, but you guys are dealing with crooks and need to realize it

Most part of of what casinonow says is true indeed. The same people involved with partypoker did use to run rigged software casinos, (iglobal media back at the days) where they got some money, and decided to open a poker room.
Party has since grown to maybe the biggest poker room online, and i think it deals a fair game. However there is no proof of this. I wouldnt really trust all my money with them, but i trust them enough to play there sometimes.
The casino software should be ok too now. Atleast with my personal experience.
By the way, i dont know anything about the bots. Some other people may run bots at poker rooms, but i highly doubt its not party thats doing this.
...
Here is what I think
It isn't totally impossible that 'someone' sitting beside you is a bot
but if there is a bot (a program of some sort) then somebody must have written it
but who wrote it?
Not by Party, why? Because it would have been a lot easier had they simply rig the cards.
Not by computer specialists neither, why? They could made a lot more money if they spend their time else where then on perfecting the software.
Most likely robots are written by some amateurs who dont even know enough about the game. Why? If they knew enough they wouldn't resort to writting a program!
So are there robots? Maybe. Are they any good? NAH!
Even if they are good, there are almost unlimited number of newbies that would offset the effect.
I have been making a lot of money off poker these days. I don't care
